SolidCAM network product key - troubleshooting

NOTE! These instructions are for a network product key (without a USB dongle) Click here for instructions when using a USB dongle

Follow the steps below to resolve network product key installation problems:

ON THE SERVER

  1. Install the "Sentinel license manager". Click here for instructions

  2. Open http://localhost:1947/_int_/devices.html and search for a local license. If a local license is NOT present, follow these instructions: http://sentinel.solidcam.com/doc/sl_activation_server_side.html

  3. Click on "Features" and verify the word "Net" is present in feature # 1 (SolidCAM license) under "Accsess"

  4. Verify port # 1947 is opened in the firewall.

  5. Verify that Allow Access from Remote Clients is enabled on http://localhost:1947/_int_/config_from.html

ON THE CLIENT

  1. Install the "Sentinel license manager". Click here for instructions

  2. Verify the server address is defined correctly in "Remote License Search Parameters" http://localhost:1947/_int_/config_to.html

  3. On the same page, enable “Aggressive Search for Remote Licenses”

  4. Reset the license manager ID by clicking this link : http://127.0.0.1:1947/action.html?create_new_lmid

  5. You can use Telnet to check if the client and server can communicate with port # 1947. Click here for information
